This email is intended for the family of H. Werner Essig. My dad is Edgar Spiller from Greene County Tech in Paragould, AR, class of 1948. He is 91 years old. Today his mind took him to Werner Essig and I found your dad’s honorable obituary. He remembers Werner as a very smart man in their high school. He didn’t know your mother. He is sad to know that Werner has passed but has fond memories of him. I know this is rather random, but I hope that in some small way you are encouraged to know that your dad is still fondly remembered. My dad just picks and chooses his memories. Have blessed day. Aunt Alice, Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Uncle Werner was such a great man and we all looked up to him and admired his wisdom and grace. We love both of you so much and will miss him sorely. Werner made Lynn feel so welcome into the family and she wanted to make sure everyone knows how kind he was. Dear Alice, Becky and Steve I am so sorry to hear that Werner passed away. He was a big part of my early career. As a scientist, he was ethical and honest, as well as very detail-oriented. All of his results could be believed because he held such high standards. I learned a lot from him and was glad to call him a friend. He was a very kind man. Best Nancy Cox
